“I definitely found the office hours helpful as it introduced me to at least two new potential investors who look at / focus on Veteran founders. In my industry (consumer - food) there is a complete dearth of angel / seed investors and all the capital is concentrated at later stage (growth equity) for post $5-10MM companies. That means finding seed capital is incredibly difficult and having investors who focus on the jockey (veterans) vice the horse are extremely helpful. The lack of personal networks for early stage funding is the main thing that holds back veteran founders (and BIPOC founders). Veteran focused early stage funding can fill this gap.”
